I need tires again

*222*

It is a gloomy and rainy day. It is reminding me that I have to buy two new tires before the end of the month. Jeepo is rear wheel drive, back tires are horrendous, and I need the bitty balanced. Every year, it is no fail. Two new tires and she is good to go. Why the rain reminds me is cause her ass squeals and we dont want that when the snow starts to fall.  I also need to buy a roof rake...

It has been almost two weeks since the transplant. I found a group with a message board that is very very informative about MC. I have learned that I was right back a couple years ago. I am back with the notion of fighting the battle of Mast Cell Activation Disorder (MCAD). I also learned that I am probably chronically deficient in Magnesium but the pills I take will not help me. I have to make a spray to rub on my skin. Applying it transdermally is the way to go. I am looking into it. There are more foods I have to avoid. In addition to the LCHF way of eating, I have to give up dairy. I have to temporarily give up eggs and raw veggies. They are too harsh on my colon right now. I ate a bit of coleslaw on Sunday...it was soooo gooood.. I paid the piper for that. Two days sick. Yesterday I actually thought the cdiff was back. That is how bad I felt. Today is much better. I am not 100% so I will be very careful with what I eat. I will fill up with some BPC and make zoodles for dinner with meat sauce. That actually sounds really good.

So yeah. Eating has been a bit of a luxury lately. I am not saying I am starving because I gravitate towards things that will fill me up but there isnt alot I can eat that doesnt hurt me. Yesterday I lucked out because the local Spanish grocery store had freshly cooked chicharrone in their deli/meal case. 8 big pieces for $5. I shared a couple but that fat and meat satiated me and my gut was okay.  Supposedly I can eat proteins, fats, and well cooked veggies. Well cooked. This is so the colon doesnt have to do alot of work digesting. This is why the tasty tasty cole slaw that the Man made is a no go for me. I have to wait till I go into a sort of remission. That could take a year! I will probably get knocked over in a strong wind by that time.

Thanksgiving menu is slowly taking shape. There are going to be things me and the Man cannot eat. But that is okay. We all should get stuff we like. We are gonna do cauliflower mac and cheese (maybe) cauliflower mash, mashed potatoes, small batch of oil based potato salad, roasted brussel sprouts with bacon, and spicy roasted carrots. I will make corn bread and I will make a sweet potato pie. That looks like a good menu so far. I have to figure out a low carb dessert option or we will definitely cheat and eat the pie. We decided we would cheat on Christmas day. Of course we are human and Halloween candy has been consumed this past month. I try really hard not to feel guilty. I am not perfect. I have to retrain myself of a lifetime of eating a certain way. We have done so well so far. The holidays are just so effin hard!

Today I am going to tackle the laundry and cook. I think that is as much as I can accomplish with this gut. The pups want to go out and I need to get dressed.
This is not a fun filled post but I figured I would do it cause that is what I have said I will do!

Have a good week. Eat some bread for me!

Should I?

*265*

I have been trying for the past month or so to get a sleep study done for obstructive sleep apnea. Our insurance company has become very strict about it since June 1 of this year. I have been denied twice so far and I think my third denial letter is in the mail.  They are going to tell me that I just need to lose weight.
I jokingly said to my GP and to hubby that if they want me to lose weight but will not help me with my sleep apnea, maybe they will want to pay for Gastric bypass surgery. My GP did not say NO NO NO! Neither did hubby. They used to before but I think I have come to the point in my ever shortening life that maybe I should do it. If I do have the surgery, I will eliminate the type 2 diabetes, the sleep apnea, the Gerd, the cholesterol, and all the other shit that I deal with.  I will lose an intense amount of weight, I will be able to exercise and walk again like I did when I was smaller.
I know there are plenty of downsides. I will have to change my eating habits for life. There are quite a few people that I know that had the surgery..you cant even tell anymore cause they gained much of the weight back. Your stomach does stretch as the years go on and you have to be honest with yourself that you have to eat less and exercise more forever or you will have gone through that surgery for nothing!
I am going for my physical next week. I am going to talk to him about it on a serious note. What do I have to do to get the ball rolling? If I cannot lose it on my own, than the insurance company will pay for it to happen.
I never thought I would seriously consider it. I always thought if I tried, I could lose weight and keep it off. I have so many things wrong with me and I just cannot do it. I have the WILL but I do not have the inner POWER to succeed at losing the weight on my own.  Who knows? Either insurance will deny it or I will run screaming because I do not want to give up my love of pizza.

I am just tired of being a fat lady.

Big Fat Fatty

This is Jolly Trixie
*273* <----I double checked. 272.

I feel like a big fat fatty.
I know I know. I am not stupid. I know I already AM a big fat fatty but lately I have been feeling bloated. I have gained like 6 lbs and my pants feel a bit snug. I hate that feeling of being fat. Everyone gets it. Even the super skinny bitches that eat celery for lunch and juice for the rest of the day. It is hormones and other factors..yeah chocolate is a factor but this is not what I am totally talking about. You know when you put on your favorite pair of jeans and they just do not feel right. You feel awkward in them for the rest of the day. That is how I have been feeling. They fit but not like they used to.
So today I decided I am going to go back on the modified Atkins for a bit. Not forever! I just want to lose what I gained back and then get back on track. I have been eating crap with abandon and my blood sugars have shown it. Not good! This is going to be hard because I have some absolutely gorgeous loaves of bread in the house right now. I have a boule and a Italian loaf with everything spices on it. I am going to have to refrain.
I am frying bacon right now and I am going to make some eggs for breakfast. I am also going to hard boil some. I will need eggs and nuts to get me through this. A-Gran, You know what I am talking about. I am not gonna kill myself with hunger. I just need to *detox* myself of all that I have been doing. If I am on a healthier kick, it will last me when I go back to carbs again.
I say modified because I will still eat fruit and drink coffee. And when Fred wants to go for Vietnamese Pho, all bets are off.
I do not know if I am going to tell Fred what I am doing. He will want to do it too but he will want ME to do all the work for both of us, and that just is not fair. That is why I think it failed the last time. He made me do all the work. All the cooking, prepwork, and shopping! He couldnt even be bothered to make the big salad for the fridge. I am not bashing my man, just stating facts. Plus, he lost weight faster then I did and that pissed me off!
So I want a head start. hehehe
Once he figures it out, I want to be at least 5 lbs ahead.

Bacon is done. Red onions are cooking on the stove. I will add the scrambled eggs and some cheddar cheese. And I have a whole dill pickle sliced for my veg this meal. I have to go to the store and buy salad stuff.
Anyone want to join me they can. I am not following any real low carb diet. I am just not eating potatoes, rice, pasta, bread, and anything else in that realm. I will give it a month and see how it goes.

Mmm! Still feel fat though
